Village Beautiful Programme

CCA co-ordinate the Village Beautiful programme which comprises 3 key elements;

1. Village Seasonal Planting Programme
2. Polytunnel (inc CCA Shed)
3. Litter Picks

1.Village Seasonal Planting Programme

The Village Seasonal Planting Programme comprises the planting, distribution and maintenance of summer floral displays for the benefit and enjoyment of Castlerock residents and visitors in key locations in and around the village;

a) Village Entrance/Castlerock stone
b) Large Planters: permanently in locations at the railway station forecourt, Main Street and Freehall Park
c) Wall Baskets and Hanging Baskets on a seasonal basis, (June to Sept), on Sea Road, in and around the railway station, Main Street and the eastern end of the Promenade

Village Beautiful relies on the support of volunteers and local businesses for the benefit of the village.

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council are essential to the Village Beautiful programme in that they provide the following invaluable support;

a) Supply the plants, compost and plant up the Wall Baskets and Hanging Baskets
b) Water and feed the Wall Baskets, Hanging Baskets and fixed displays during the summer months
