Over the weekend the 1st Castlerock Scouts continued their 100th anniversary celebrations with their centenary camp. The camp involved all sections of the group with the beavers having a sleepover in the Peter Thompson Hall and the cubs,scouts and night owls camping on Dungannon Hill. Parents, leaders and helpers were all involved in setting up what was an impressive display of canvas! On Saturday the various groups enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities including sand surfing on beach buggies and canoeing. The camp culminated with a fantastic barbecue featuring burgers, sausages and salads provided by the group and parents. After the barbecue all sections of the group gathered round the campfire for smores, enthusiastic singing and good company.
